London - Thousands of excited Harry Potter fans await the premiere of the eighth and final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Fans faced the rainy weather at Trafalgar Square in London, some for three days, waiting for the iconic actors and actresses of the Harry Potter films to arrive this Thursday. This last premiere marks the end of an era for many children and adults alike, and they’ve come to show their support and love for this last epic film.
The film itself seems to be living up to its huge hype, as many critics have given rave reviews already. reports that Rotten Tomatoes, the popular movie review website, has given Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 a “100% fresh” rating. also reports that Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail said, “The film versions of J.K. Rowling's stories have enthralled me, and I watched them with child-like wonder. The final film chapter had me literally sitting on the edge of my seat at times, particularly in the scene where Harry, Ron and Hermione (who for reasons too complicated to go into here has to look like Bellatrix Lestrange) break into a bank and escape over the London skyline on the back of a fire-breathing dragon.”
The Hollywood Reporter says that Deathly Hallows Part 2 is, “an exciting and, to put it mildly, massively eventful finale that will grip and greatly please anyone who has been at all a fan of the series up to now."
The lucky viewers of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 premiere Thursday will see for themselves whether or not the film lives up to the final chapters of the beloved book series. The rest of we Muggles will have to wait a little longer until the wide release of Deathly Hallows: Part 2 on July 15.
