By Owen Weldon     Jul 5, 2011 in World
A teenage from northwestern Iowa lucked out when he was run over by a train. The 17-year-old walked away with only a few bruises and cuts.
The teenager, Christian Latshaw, admits that he was drinking on Sunday night but he blacked out afterwards. Latshaw was attending a music festival.
Latshaw was spotted between the rails right before 11 p.m. He was spotted by two Iowa Interstate Railroad engineers, and that is when they slammed the brakes, according to a police report.
According to Whotv, the first train car rolled right over Latshaw and then the train finally stopped. He suffered a bruise to his thigh as well as a few cuts to his head.
Latshaw is in good condition, according to Nbcchicago. Latshaw was brought into a hospital in Des Moines and is expected to be released within the next two days.
Latshaw may be in good condition but he was arrested for trespassing and public intoxication.
