Brazil certainly is used to having large crowds at events every such as Carnaval. They also have an event each year known as the 'March for Jesus'. This year the crowd was estimated at 5 million.
It is an interdenominational event where Christians march through towns and cities spreading the gospel, singing gospel music and preaching. People come from different parts of Brazil to participate in this event. It coincides with the Catholic Corpus Christi celebration. The event was held on Thursday, June 23, 2011. The
Associated Press said that Brazil is home to the world's largest Roman Catholic population.

The event was organized by the Reborn in Christ Church. On
openheaven.com it was noted that March for Jesus had the slogan 'March for Faith' this year. The event drew around 3 million people last year. In recent years crowds had dropped off in numbers. It appears that this year's event was a success.
