Summer camp season is in full swing. Some camps are specialized for kids into sports, arts and this year Glenn Beck. That's right, kids can attend a half-day camp in Tampa Bay to become the best darn Tea Parties there is.
This summer parents can send their kids off to learn the virtues of the Tea Party in Tampa, Florida. Members of the organization Tampa912.org has solid beliefs like America is good and that God is the center of their life.
On July 11 at the
Paideia School of
Tampa Bay the Tampa Liberty School summer camp will begin. The week long morning sessions are for kids 8-12. Campers are promised to have a good time will learning about the principles of liberty, free markets, and limited government.
The camp is limited to 40 students. Borrowing their format from vacation bible schools the venture is being put on by parents and community volunteers and is only $15. Organized by conservative writer
Jeff Lukens the camp's Tampa912.org volunteers will not be teaching about being politically correct. Instead fun lessons like how paper money is devalued over time will be played out.
According to their
website the goal of the camp is to motivate the children of the community.
"Just as we the citizens of the United States of America bear the ultimate responsibility to ensure that liberty persists in our great nation, we also bear the ultimate responsibility to teach the generations that follow us the principles from which liberty flows; and further that they in turn bear that responsibility to teach these principles and responsibilities to their children. Only through diligence can freedom be perpetually maintained over the centuries to come."
