British man blows off painful wart with shotgun

By Owen Weldon     Jun 16, 2011 in World
Sean Murphy is a British man who was so bothered by a painful wart that he decided to remove the wart via a bullet instead of seeing a doctor first.
Murphy used his own home procedure to remove his painful war. Murphy took a 12-bore Beretta shotgun and shot the wart.
Apparently Murphy simply used lager for anaesthetic, and reached out his left hand and pulled the trigger, MSNBC reports.
The 38-year-old security guard did not escape injury though, as his entire middle finger was blown off. Murphy was not in legal possession of the shotgun and he could now go to prison for illegally possessing a firearm.
Unfortunately for Murphy, the blast caused some collateral damage. According to The Telegraph, it blew off nearly the entire middle finger on his left hand, and left the 38-year-old facing some jail time for illegal possession of a firearm.
There was literally nothing left of Murphy’s finger, according to Postchronicle. 16-weeks in jail is what Murphy will be doing. Murphy is fine with the sentence and he said the wart was giving him a lot of problems and he is just glad that the wart is finally gone.
Murphy said that he does not regret that he did what he did, and that he knows he is lucky. Murphy could have been sent to prison for 15 years but his solicitor was able to negotiate the 16-week suspended jail sentence.
