No Oscar curse for the new mom actress Natalie Portman as she gave birth to a baby boy. This is Portman's first child with French-born ballet dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
New York-bred Natalie Portman won her first Best Actress Oscar this year for Darren Aronofsky's Academy-nominated best picture 'Black Swan'. In the film, she portrayed the role of Nina, a hardworking ballerina who becomes psychologically unstable, driving her into madness over rivalry with a younger dancer. In February's 83rd Academy Awards, a visibly pregnant Portman thankfully mentioned fiancé Benjamin Millepied in her acceptance speech, "My beautiful love, Benjamin Millepied, who has now given me my most important role of my life (being a mom)." The two met and began dating as they were shooting Black Swan. Millepied, a New York City ballet dancer, choreographed and trained Portman during filming.
According to a report by OK!, both new parents Millepied and Portman are nesting in trendy TriBeCa in New York City with their new baby. Although Portman made it clear that naming her baby boy 'Oscar' was out of the question, the child's name has not yet released.
