Chiang Mai - A chef from Chiang Mai, Thailand, has recently been publicized for his wacky ability to dip his bare hands into a wok full of sizzling oil, with absolutely no anguish.
Kann Trichan regularly forgets his utensils – then again, who needs utensils when you have hands like his?
The 50-year-old is immune to burns and blisters, thus earning him a Guinness World Record after pulling 20 pieces of chicken out of 480 degree oil in a minute.
Trichan discovered his talent seven years ago when a squirrel knocked a mango into his wok, leaving him drenched in scorching oil.
"The fat flew everywhere, all over my head, arms, hands. It should have seriously hurt me" he said. "I remember looking in the mirror, expecting to see blisters and red blotches, but there was nothing. Now I can fry rice, chicken, and many things with just my bare hands."
Trichan is now somewhat of an international celebrity, with tourists flocking from all over the world to meet him.
