article imageHeidi Klum strips down for 'Project Runway' Campaign

"Project Runway," a reality show made synonymous with clothes—featuring designer hopefuls competing against the clock—is set on taking them all off, of Heidi Klum, that is.
The nearly 6-foot former supermodel and Victoria’s Secret angel posed nude in a shoot late May in an effort to promote the show's ninth season, E! News confirms.
Although the host of the fashion competition series has yet to sign off on a final image, the 38-year-old is scheduled to appear naked in upcoming TV promos before the new season kicks off this summer, Klum’s rep told E!
The decision for the mother of four to bare all comes from the Lifetime Network’s push to revamp and contemporize their female characters.
Lifetime president and general manager Nancy Dubuc spoke on the matter at Real Screen’s Factual Entertainment Forum June 2, as seen in The Hollywood Reporter.
Dubuc, who took over the station last year, told a packed room that the network’s longstanding portrayal of the “women in peril” stereotype is out of date and Lifetime is making room for a more “brazen, strong, confident and sexy” type of woman.
The Emmy-nominated series’ ad campaign featuring a stripped down Klum—presumably encompassing all of these qualities—is the station’s first plan of action to help celebrate the modern woman.
Not to mention, “It’s Heidi F---n’ Klum,” said Dubuc.
“Project Runway” found a home on Lifetime just under two years ago, after a move from the Bravo Network in 2009. Klum has served as the show’s host, judge and executive producer since its initial launch in 2004.
In addition to the debut of the show’s ninth season, Lifetime has announced the return of “Project Runway All Stars”—which features a competition among past contestants—along with the new “Project Accessory,” which will focus, fittingly, on accessories.
