Troubled Grammy Award singer Amy Winehouse is back in rehab at Priory Clinic in the UK seeking treatment for alcoholism.
This time her Daddy doesn’t think she’s fine, so
Amy Winehouse had to go, go, go.
Mitch Winehouse, the father of the troubled British singer, has advised his daughter to enter rehab because he felt that she was drinking too much again.
According to her publicist Tracey Miller, "Amy, 27, has embarked on a treatment program at the Priory Clinic. She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctor's advice."
The “Rehab” singer has had a public ongoing battle with substance and alcohol abuse since her debut in 2006. After her drug-fuel marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil ended in 2009, Winehouse has acted out in what looked like a very public meltdown. In March 2009, she was arrested and charged with assault in England following a claim from a woman that Winehouse had hit her in the eye at the Prince’s Trust charity ball. Simultaneously, Winehouse allegedly had a verbal argument with socialite Pippa Middleton while head butting a photographer.
Along with her public outbreaks, Winehouse has made numerous visits to drug and alcohol treatment programs only to relapse into her addiction.
Winehouse has yet to release a follow-up album to her 2006 album, "Back to Black." Her first new recording since then, "It's My Party," appeared on Quincy Jones compilation, "Q: Soul Bossa Nostra," released last autumn.
According to Winehouse’s website she is scheduled to perform at some European summer festivals starting June 18.
