Miami - The last time Chris Bosh lead the Heat in scoring was game 1 of this series, and the Heat took a 21-point loss. The last time the Bulls lost two games in a row was last year, and it has taken the 96 games to finally lose two in a row.
The Miami Heat (58-24) took a game two on their way back to Miami for game three of their two game home stand. The Chicago Bulls (62-20) struggled to hold home court advantage, and after this loss they only have next game to gain it back. Neither Miami nor Chicago has been down in their respective series this playoff season, and history shows that whoever wins game three ends up winning the series.
Dwyane Wade struck first for the Miami Heat as both teams traded baskets to a 4-4 tie. Keith Bogans broke the tie with a three-pointer, and Joakim Noah made one of two free-throws to make it an 8-6 game. Derrick Rose made a layup then LeBron James scored six straight points to give the Heat a 12-10 lead.
Chris Bosh made a dunk to make it a 15-11 lead, but Luol Deng made a layup to cut the lead to two-points. Dwyane Wade made a jumper that gave the Heat a 17-13 lead and forced Chicago to take a timeout. Taj Gibson answered with a layup, but Joel Anthony ended the quarter with one of two free-throws to give the Heat an 18-15 lead.
Luol Deng opened the second quarter with a layup to get the Bulls within one-point 18-17. Mario Chalmers made a jumper and Chris Bosh made three free-throws with a jumper to give the Heat a 25-19 lead. Carlos Boozer made a jumper and a layup to get the Bulls back within two-points, 25-23. The teams traded baskets with Chris Bosh giving the Heat a 29-25 lead.
Kyle Korver made a three-pointer only to have Mario Chalmers make a layup and give the Heat a two-point lead. Dwyane Wade pushed it to a three-point lead with a dunk, and Chris Bosh pushed it to a five-point lead with a jumper. The Bulls tried to cut into it by getting within three-points with a Derrick Rose jumper.
The score was 37-34 and Dwyane Wade made a jumper to push their lead back to a five-point lead. Derrick Rose made a three-point play to get the Bulls within three-points, 41-38. LeBron James made a pair of free-throws then Derrick Rose made a pair of free-throws, but the Heat took a 43-40 lead going into halftime.
Carlos Boozer opened the third quarter with a jumper that got the Bulls within one-point, 43-42. Chris Bosh answered with a jumper and made another to give the Heat a 47-42 lead. Derrick Rose made a layup and then came back to hit a three-pointer with tied the game up at 47-points apiece.
Mike Bibby made a three-pointer to give the Heat the lead back, but Boozer hit a jumper and Rose made another jumper to give the Bulls a 51-50 lead. Dwyane Wade made a free-throw with Chris Bosh making a pair of free-throws to give the Heat a 53-51 lead. Carlos Boozer made a dunk to tie the game up only to have Bibby make another three-pointer to give the Heat a three-point lead.
Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade made jumpers to give the Heat a 62-55 lead. Udonis Haslem made back-to-back jumpers to give the Heat a 66-57 lead. Luol Deng made a three-pointer to cut into the Heat lead, but LeBron James made a layup to give the Heat a eight-point lead. Carlos Boozer made a pair of free-throws and Luol Deng made a three-pointer, but the Heat still lead by three-points, 68-65 to end the quarter.
Taj Gibson made one of two free-throws to start the final period. LeBron James made a jumper and Chris Bosh made a jumper to give them a 72-66 lead. Ronnie Brewer got a dunk and Gibson made a jumper to get the Bulls within four-points 74-70. Chris Bosh got a dunk and a jumper to give the Heat a 78-72 lead after a Derrick Rose layup.
Udonis Haslem made a layup that sparked a nine-point run that was capped off with a LeBron James three-point play. Miami lead 87-74 after Chicago called a timeout and Boozer cut into it with a pair of free-throws. Taj Gibson and Luol Deng made a pair of buckets to cut the lead down to nine-points.
Carlos Boozer made one of two free-throws, but LeBron James ended with three free-throws in a row to give the Heat a 96-95 lead and seal the Heat’s victory.

Carlos Boozer led the Bulls with 26 points with 17 rebounds, and Derrick Rose scored 20 points with five assists and rebounds. Luol Deng scored 14 points with eight rebounds. Taj Gibson came off the bench to score 11 points.
Chris Bosh scored 34 points with five rebounds, two assists and steals to lead the Heat. LeBron James scored 22 points with 10 assists and six rebounds. Dwyane Wade scored 17 points with nine rebounds as the Heat’s Big 3 where the only players to score in double-digits.
During the game Joakim Noah was caught using a gay slur to a fan that was apparently talking disrespectful about his mother. Noah later apologized in a post game interview and was fined by the NBA $50,000.
Game four will be played Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 8:30 PM (EST). They will have a chance to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
