After grocery shopping two male friends, 74 and 83, were walking their bicycles on Highway 48 in Markham Monday when the younger man was approached by a suspect. The suspect assaulted the man. The victim's friend tried to help and was also assaulted by the suspect who then fled on foot.
Both victims were injured during the incident.
The investigation so far has failed to identify the suspect in this case and investigators are appealing for witnesses.
The suspect is a white male between 25 and 30. He is about 5'10" with a medium build. He has short brown hair and a light-brown beard. He was wearing maroon-coloured jacket, carrying a knapsack and wearing earphones.
