Taco Bell fans will soon be bidding goodbye to one of the crunchy favorites from a popular taco chain. The beefy burrito is featured in the $5 buck boxes, but soon will be replaced.
Taco Bell fans will be disappointed. The Official Taco Bell Facebook page launched a statement today that the Beefy Crunch Burrito will be soon leaving their menu.
"The Beefy Crunch Burrito is going away!" said the official Taco Bell social media page."Experience it before it becomes a part of Taco Bell legend."
Taco Bell servers more than 36 million customers each week at over 5,000 restaurants in the United States. That's about 2 billion tacos, and a whopping 1 million burritos of various varieties.
The Beefy crunch burrito, which includes seasoned taco meat, sour cream, and hot Fritos, was often sold in Taco Bells' $5 Buck Boxes along with the Crunchwrap Supreme, Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists and a ice-cold soda.
Beefy crunch fans are already posting comments about their wish for the item to stay. Over 1,355 fans have left their comments on the announcement so far after Taco Bell broke the news just two hours ago.
Facebook user David Miligi writes, "I guess I'll just have to put Fritos in my burrito myself." Shelby Salinas, too, will quite certianally miss the Beefy crunch when she writes, "They have these in Heaven right?"
Not all taco fans are miffed by the Beefy Crunch's departure. Many fans commented there has been many items removed from the menu, only to make their way back for a limited time.
Taco Bell did not release why the crunchy burrito will be removed or when, but instead promised many more items in the future.
