During the 1980's the Go-Go's were hot. The all girl band, Belinda Carlisle, Charlotte Caffey, Gina Schock, Jane Wiedlin and Kathy Valentine, helped define the music scene with songs like "Our Lips Are Sealed” and “We Got The Beat.”
Fast forward thirty years. The Go-Gos are releasing their album Beauty and the Beat on May 17 in time for a U.S. tour. The punk rock ladies are ready to bring their style to a new generation this summer.
Last summer the band had planned to do a farewell tour but had to bow out when Wiedlin required knee surgery. Since that time the girls decided that they may not be ready to give up their singing careers.
Fans will have the chance to meet the band with special VIP packages as well.
In August the Go-Go's will be getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
