An office assistant at a Quebec high school was fired after the fact that she had acted in pornographic films was made public.
After a student spotted the woman, who goes by the name of Samantha Ardente for her film work, in a video on the Internet, the news about her filming quickly spread.
The CBC reported that police liaison officer overheard students talking about the films and informed officials.
The Star reported that the student made the information public on a Facebook page after the woman refused to give him an autograph, and was suspended for his actions.
Ardente, who has been employed by the school board for nine years, was suspended from her job at Les Etchemins High School last month- and this week she was fired.
“We believe that the facts and the actions that led to this incident are inappropriate, unacceptable and incompatible, not only with our mission, but also with the values that we hope to convey to our young students,” The Globe and Mail quoted school board chairman Leopold Castonguay as saying.
“Under the circumstances, we believe that we have been open and have proposed appropriate measures.”
Ardente told radio station 98.5 FM that she could not agree to all of the conditions the school board insisted on for her to keep her job. She agreed to relocation for an indefinite period, suspension without pay for three weeks, and to discontinue acting in adult films - but said they were insisting on measures such as not appearing in public in bathing suits.
