Toronto - A man appears to be targeting people with mental health issues in Toronto's west end area in the Queen Street West and Lansdowne Avenue.
In January two victims, a 47 year old woman and a 53 year old man, were attacked by a man who approached them from behind on a bicycle.
On February 25 the suspect is accused of continuing the attacks fighting with a male victim, 62. The victim was kicked and punched by the suspect who then fled the scene. The attack left the man needing hospital treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
On March 3 the another attack took place just blocks away in the Queen Street West and Jameson Avenue area. This time the victim was a male 55-year-old. After punching and kicking the victim the suspect fled the scene. The victim of this attack also required hospital treatment for serious but non−life−threatening injuries.
Between Thursday and Friday the suspect struck once more in the same area of the fourth attack, this time with a male victim, 62. The victim is in hospital with serious but non−life−threatening injuries after the assault.
The suspect is described as wearing dark clothing and a black balaclava. He has a stocky build and is 5’8”−6’.
