Season 12 of the popular reality television show "Dancing With The Stars" will premire with a live, two-hour broadcast on March 21. The show pairs celebrities with professional dancers to find out which stars can learn the best ballroom moves.
For years Dancing With The Stars has brought big ratings to the national television network ABC. Now, with just three weeks until the premire of Season 12, the celebrity roster for 2011 has been released.
Legends, athletes, entertainers, television stars of young and old and models will all be seen on the big stage in Season 12.
Long-time TV personality, and host of Dancing With The Stars Tom Bergeron and co-host Brooke Burke made the announcement last night during a live broadcast.
Chelsea Kane
This young actress is most known for her role as Stella Marie in the Disney Channel's comedy series Jonas and is currently the voice of Bea for the network's animated series Fish Hooks. In addition, she is a musician and an internet star on the web series The Homes.
Chris Jericho
Jericho is a long-time WWE superstar and one of the organization's most infamous entertainers. Chris is also a two-time best selling author, lead singer of the band Fozzy and host of ABC's game show Downfall.
Hines Ward
A 14-year veteran Wide Reciever wearing number 86 for the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers, Ward is continuing his undoubtedly hall-of-fame-career with six Pro Bowl appreances, two Superbowl championships and an MVP award for Super Bowl XL.
Kendra Wilkinson
Former Playboy model and five-year cast member of the related reality series The Girls Next Door, Kendra is now the star of her own self-titled reality show on the E! network, which has been running strong for three seasons.
Kirstie Alley
Alley is a diverse actress and Hollywood talent. During her career she has collected one Golden Globe, two Emmy awards and three People's Choice awards. She is most known for her role in the former TV sitcom Cheers, and in the film Look Who's Talking. Alley has filled roles in many other television series, and is even credited with co-writing and starring in Showtime's Fat Actress.
Mike Catherwood
Catherwood, also known as "Psycho Mike" is a Los Angeles native. Psycho Mike is a music fanatic and a popular radio personality, formerly a member of the Kevin & Bean Morning Show and co-host with Dr. Drew Pinksy on the popular Loveline Radio show.
Petra Nemcova
A Czech Republic native beauty, Petra was discovered by a modeling scout and took the industry by storm. In 2004 she suffered serious injuries during the Tsunami which devestated Thailand. In 2006 she started the organization Happy Hearts Fund to help rebuild schools and other communities buildings in the impacted country.
Ralph Macchio
Macchio, though spending most of his life writing, producing and making major appearances both on TV and the silverscreen, is most known as the original Karate Kid. As well, he starred in the two sequels that followed the popular movie early in his career.
Percey Romeo Miller Jr. is a young, very well accomplished entertainers. At age 10 he became the youngest person to top the billboard charts and continued on to become a multi-platinum music artist, collecting a Grammy and an American Music Award along the way. Romeo has also made several acting appearances, including a co-starring role in the movie Honey. In 2010, Romeo was named among the Top Five Sexiest Men in the World. Additionally, he is the CEO of the record company No Limit Forever.
Sugar Ray Leonard
Sugary Ray is a boxing legend and a name familiar to many across the world. Leonard begin boxing at age-14, and by age-20 he was dubbed as the "new Muhammad Ali" by Howard Cosell. His professional career spanned 20-years, during which he was awarded with three National Golden Gloves titles and defeated many of the modern-era's finest boxers.
Wendy Williams
Williams is well known as a former radio personality. She became just the second African American woman to be inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in November, 2009. Her career in daytime television also began in 2009 as a talk show host for The Wendy Williams Show, which was acclaimed by People magazine as one of the "best shows of 2009." Williams is also a wife, mother and a best-selling author.
