article imageRihanna silent on sexuality rumours

By Gibril Koroma     Jan 31, 2011 in Entertainment
Pop star Rihanna, one of the most talented and much loved contemporary musicians, has so far kept stolid silence over rumours that she is bisexual.
Rumours about Rihanna's sexuality, which have been flying around in cyberspace and in both print and electronic media, got a short in the arm recently when top model Taj Burton claimed she at one time had an affair with Rihanna and that she is going to spill the beans in a forthcoming book titled Low Down Dirty Shame (see video).
It's not known whether Taj is only seeking publicity for her book but the her claim seems to have credibility because Rihanna herself, if we should believe what the Sun newspaper says about her, has allegedly said she was attracted to women and that she admitted being attracted to both sexes too. It is also claimed by the Sun that Rihanna said she could see herself "in a relationship with a girl." She is also reported to have said at one time, again by the Sun, that she found Megan Fox "yummy."
Rihanna or her publicist have so far neither denied nor confirmed the rumours and claims especially the one made by Taj Burton.
Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was born February 20, 1988 in Saint Michael, Barbados. At age 16 she relocated to the United States to become a recording artist and was snapped up by Def Jam Recording after auditioning with Jay-Z, Beyonce's husband. She went on to produce hits like Only Girl, Rude Boy, What's My Name, Umbrella and many others.
In 2009 Rihanna was brutally attacked by then boyfriend Chris Brown who was subsequently convicted of felony and assault and sentenced to 180 days of labour of service in Virginia, five years of probation, and ordered to attend a domestic-abuse program for a year. A restraining order preventing him from being in the same vicinity as Rihanna was also part of the package.
