Toronto man arrested for robbery

Richmond Hill - A Toronto man has been arrested following the robbery of the Esso Gas Station at 1485 Elgin Mills Road East in Richmond Hill Monday.
After a man fled following the robbery of the gas station York Regional Police Hold-Up, Canine and Air Support Units, as well as the Toronto Police Service, members of the #2 District Uniform Patrol Unit worked together to apprehend the suspect.
The suspect's vehicle was found abandoned in Bathurst Street and Finch Avenue area at about 12:50 p.m. Using the Canine Unit to track the suspect's last known location a search found the suspect barricaded in the laundry room at 523 Finch Avenue. The suspect surrendered to police without incident.
The York Regional Police are investigating the robbery and have charged the suspect in concentration to two other incidents that include vehicle theft from a Vaughan residence on Friday and a commercial robbery at the 7-11 at 2067 Rutherford Road in Vaughan on Saturday.
Guy Belyea, 44, has been charged with robbery, dangerous driving, possession of property obtained by crime, theft and use of an imitation firearm.
