article imageNew revelation rekindles Obama birth certificate controversy Special

By Gar Swaffar     Jan 28, 2011 in Politics
The issue of "is he or is he not" a natural born citizen, is coming up again for President Barack Obama. In a conversation with author and investigative reporter Dr. Jerome Corsi the signed affidavit from Tim Adams was among the issues discussed.
On Thursday this journalist was given an interview with Dr. James Corsi. Dr. Corsi is the author of several books, including, The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry (with John O’Neill) and others which also delve into the political sphere of interest.
At issue is the release of a signed affidavit from Tim Adams. As mentioned in the World Net Daily article written by Dr. Corsi, Tim Adams was a worker in the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division during May through September 2008.
Dr. Corsi states he “has been communicating with Tim Adams for some time” and noted that Adams appeared to have no particular animus or grudge against the President, but that he was concerned with the dismissive attitude of senior election officials in the department regarding the many requests for a copy of the long form certificate.
From the same article Adams states: "Senior officers in the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division told me on multiple occasions that no Hawaii long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Senator Obama in the Hawaii Department of Health," Adams' affidavit reads,…..”
From the affidavit noted in the article from WND is the following statement: (Pt. 1 of the affidavit is HERE) Senior officers in the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division further told me on multiple occasions that Hawaii State government officials had made inquires about Sen. Obama's birth records to officials at Queens Medical Center and Kapi'olani Medical Center in Honolulu and that neither hospital had any record of Senator Obama having been born there, even though Governor Abercrombie is now asserting and various Hawaii government officials continue to assert Barack Obama, Jr. was born at Kapi'olani Medical Center on Aug.4 ,1961.
Also: (Pt. 2 of the affidavit is HERE) During the course of my employment, I came to understand that for political reasons, various officials in the government of Hawaii, including then-Governor Linda Lingle and Various officials of the Hawaii Department of Health, including Dr. Chiyome Fukino, the director of the Hawaii Department of Health, were making representations that Senator Obama was born in Hawaii, even though no government official in Hawaii could find a
long-form birth certificate for Senator Obama that had been issued by a Hawaii hospital at the time of his birth.
Dr. Corsi himself states that he personally bears no ill will toward the President, but rather, “I kind of likes Barack Obama”, but would also like to “know the truth” and would like to “Trust but verify” regarding the absence or reality of an original long form birth certificate for President Barack Obama.
Since the initial claims of the lack of natural born citizen status surfaced and the many cases which have been offered to the Supreme Court of the United States to accept or deny, all have so far been turned back.
The cases go back to 2008 when the SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) was offered the opportunity to take up the issue as reported by the LA Times.
Many Americans, including Dr. Corsi, are skeptical of whether or not the SCOTUS will ever be willing to jump in to the debate regarding the legality of President Obama’s bid for the office of POTUS (President of the United States) after the debacle of having the 2004 Presidential election decided by the SCOTUS.
Currently several states have taken the matter into their own hands. They’ve done that by creating and considering legislation which would place a burden of proof on each candidate for POTUS. Each candidate would be required to present actual documents in support of their candidacy instead of a simple form offered by their political party representatives.
Arizona seems to be the furthest along in the race to get something on the books prior to the 2012 election cycle with HB2544.
Currently federal law is clear on the eligibility requirements to run for POTUS as set forth in Article Two of the Constitution, but has no foolproof method in place to verify the documentation by federal election officials.
