The White House released a press release, and said that Joe Biden reported for jury duty today at a courthouse located in Wilmington, Delaware. If Biden missed the speech on Tuesday then the senator of Hawaii, Dan Inouye, would have taken Biden's place at the speech. Joe Biden was not alone in the jury assembly room. Biden waited in the assembly room with several secret agents. When break was called, security staff and other officials poured in from a side door so they could have a word with Biden. During the break Biden made a few phone calls, including a call to the president. A little after noon, prospective jurors and Biden were dismissed.
