Oklahoma St. lost to rival Oklahoma in the Big 12 South showdown to cut their dream short this season.Oklahoma St ended the season by going to the Valero Alamo Bowl to face Pac-10’s Arizona and beat the Wildcats handily 36 – 10 to finish the season on a high note.
OSU will be shooting for a BCS bowl next year with the return of Big 12 offensive player of the year and pronounced first round NFL draft pick
Justin Blackmon returning for his junior year. Blackmon was the number one receiver in the OSU stable with 1,782 yards this season receiving with 20 touchdowns to go along with it. Blackmon also picked up some hardware at the end of the season getting the
Biletnikoff Award as the nation's best receiver of the year in the NCAA.
Quarterback
Weeden will also be returning, but for his senior season to help try and lead Oklahoma St. to another winning season. Weeden had an outstanding season this year throwing 34 touchdowns and hit 4,277 yards passing this season which set a school record. With passing yards like that and receiving yards like Blackmon’s these two may be pretty good candidates for the Hesiman Trophy if they can repeat the success they had this season.
