New York - The 10th annual No Pants Day in NYC, aimed at riding the subways by practical jokers with their pants removed and lower half exposed, was a stunner and laugher at the same time.
The crowd met at points in Brooklyn and Queens and began taking their pants off. Male and female, mostly young participants were received with shock and curiosity as cameras flashed. Boarding and riding the trains into Manhattan they met with an assortment of comments along the way.
The NYdailynews reports: "I thought something was up when I saw a Speedo on the platform," said Sandi Rabinowitz, 63, riding uptown on the 6 train. "It makes people laugh it's good. That's it. I'm taking my bra off!"
However others did not enjoy the sights and were either annoyed or offended. One woman with children chastised and cursed at them for being offensive. Another requested that a guy wearing a security guard shirt and underwear just put his pants back on.
The event was organized by Improv Everywhere, a collective of New Yorkers who stage event in various urban areas.
