Las Vegas - A 13-year-old girl has been in a medically induced coma in a Las Vegas hospital after being hit by a car while she was jaywalking across a street. But still police went to Sunrise Hospital to give her a ticket.
According to Fox 5 News,Takara's taxi driver mother, Kellie Obong, accused the police of being insensitive for going all the way to the hospital just to give her daughter a ticket, while she was in a coma after being hit by a car.
The police said that although the girl had been hit by a car, before being hit she had broken the law by jaywalking while not in a crossroad. However, Ms Obong argued that it was not the time and place for the police to give her a ticket, as reported on The Australian.
Mrs Obong was informed by the police that, “She hit the windshield, flipped three times in the air and from the point of impact to where her body was… Metro told me she was 125 feet [away].”
