Toronto - The Juno Awards is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, but before the broadcast on March 27th there are a few special events planned, including this week's 80's throwback party.
Take a walk down memory lane, or experience it for the first time, with the second installment of JUNO Decades 40th Anniversary Concert Series. Some of the most iconic Canadian artists of the 1980's perform live at the Horseshoe Tavern, including Chalk Circle, Maestro Fresh Wes, Platinum Blonde, Rik Emmett, Any Curran, Blue Peter,. The Spoons, Platinum Blonde, Steven Page, Modern Superstitions, and San Sebastian. Former Much Music VJ Christopher Ward will host the event; one of four concerts in celebration of the JUNO Awards‟ 40th Anniversary, with this 80's edition being produced by Last Gang Entertainment. There's bound to be surprise guests appearances as well. Rush or Anvil perhaps?
