Toronto - The new year had barely begun at 2:25 a.m. when two men were stabbed outside of a Toronto nightclub leaving one in critical condition and the other injured as they waited for their limousine to pick them up.
Toronto Police Services report that the victim was with a group of friends outside a nightclub in the Queen Street West and Portland Street area of downtown Toronto. The group was waiting a limo to pick them up when the suspect approached carrying a video camera along with two or three other people.
The suspect is said to have asked the group what their New Year's resolutions were while he filmed them. A verbal altercation took place and the suspect left the scene. An hour later the suspect returned to the area alone. At this time another altercation took place and the victims were stabbed by the suspect.
The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The victims were transported to hospital where Brian Takahashi, 20, later died.
The suspect is a white man, aged 20 to 30, 160 to 180 pounds with a medium build. He was wearing camouflage shorts with a vertical tatto on his rib cage in Old English writing. The tattoo possibly says "HAT"or "HAJ" or "HAF."
