A 1977 Peugot 504 previously used by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has attracted a $1 million bid at auction for charity.
A website has been launched by the Iranian government for the month-long auction of the car.
The $1 million bid reportedly came from an Arab country, according to Gawker. Officials originally hoped that the car would fetch a minimum of $2,000 at auction.
Proceeds of the sale will go towards the Mehr Housing Fund, for constructing homes in Tehran for the disabled.
