article imageDigital Journal's year in pictures: Top photos of 2010

By Chris Hogg     Dec 31, 2010 in World
With contributors in 175 countries around the world, DigitalJournal.com has seen some really outstanding photography in 2010. These are the top photos chosen by our editors to illustrate the year in pictures.
(Note: If you're viewing this feature via Digital Journal's smartphone apps, click here to see all images on our mobile site)
As a social news network that allows anyone upload images, we get a very large volume of photography uploaded each day.
While compiling our year-end TopFinds review of the biggest stories, we also wanted to look at the visual story of 2010.
Our editors have reviewed thousands of images from all over the world to compile a list of what we think are the best photos of the year. They were submitted from Canada, the United States, Australia, France, South Africa, Poland, Sierra Leone and Chile and covered a broad range of topics and news events. We'd like to offer a big congrats and a special thanks to all of you who submitted photos throughout the year.
We'll let the pictures speak for themselves, so without further ado, here is 2010 in pictures from DigitalJournal.com:
