White House bans shirtless photos of President Obama

By Matt Harding     Dec 30, 2010 in Politics
When then President-elect Barack Obama vacationed in Hawaii two years ago, snapshots were taken of him without a shirt. But the White House says Obama's topless moments in Hawaii won't be open to photographers.
According to the Huffington Post, the White House banned photographers from getting shots of Obama shirtless yesterday. President Obama is vacationing in Hawaii.
Reporters were given "strict instructions that there would be no long lenses or other sneaky attempts to take pictures of a shirtless leader of the free world" while he and his family went snorkeling in the Hanauma Bay Nature Reserve.
Previously in the year, Obama was captured by photographers. He was swimming with his daughter in the gulf; the pictures were only from the neck up. When those pictures were taken, Obama had said, "I'm not going to let you guys take a picture of me with my shirt off,'' he told them at the time." Apparently, Obama, and the White House, are holding true to that statement.
