Ontario school locked down during home invasion incident

Pickering - A high school in Pickering was locked down for about 90 minutes this afternoon while police tracked suspected from a violent home invasion in the area.
At 12:30 p.m. Durham Regional Police were called to a home in the Rossland Road West/Valley Farm Road area of Pickering. According to police reports several male suspects broke into a basement apartment stealing electronic equipment and making threats to two people at the location. One of the suspects had a handgun.
No one was seriously injured.
From their investigation police were lead to a residence near Dunbarton High School on Sheppard Avenue near Whites Road. It was believed that some of the suspects were located at the home. At 1 p.m. the school was put on lock-down as a precaution.
At 2 p.m. a male and female at the residence were arrested. After a search of the home the high school was advised that the incident was over at 2:30 p.m.
