Toronto - A Toronto Police Sergeant with 21 years of service has been arrested and charged with two counts of criminal harassment.
Constable Scott Mills said during a phone interview that he had worked in the past with the arrested constable.
"He's a nice man, Mills said.
"From my understanding."
Mark Pugash, Corporate Communications for Toronto Police Service, said he could not if confirm if the accused had been in a relationship with the victim.
"[The accused ] was notified by investigators and turned himself in to 31 Division."
Pugash said the case is being treated as any other by the Toronto Police Service.
Pugash said the officer has not been suspended from his duties.
Sergeant Raymond Meech, 44, was arrested and charged on Friday with two counts of criminal harassment.
He is scheduled to appear in court on January 12, 2011.
