Chicago - Michael Jackson's parents and his three children will be appearing on an upcoming episode of the Oprah Winfrey show. The talk-show host also did an interview at the Jackson family home.
Harpo Productions announced Monday that the talk-show queen's interview with Jackson's mother Catherine, will air on Nov. 8. The late singer's children and his father Joe Jackson will also appear during a backyard visit taped for the episode.
The Associated Press is reporting that Winfrey and Katherine Jackson filmed the interview at the family's home in Encino, Calif., where the family matriarch gave the show host, a tour of the property. She talked about the day her son died and reflected on his life as a childhood star.
The siblings, Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12 and Blanket, 8, who have never been interviewed before, reportedly, engaged in a candid chat and opened up about their legendary dad with host Winfrey, who is wrapping up the final season of her popular and long-running TV show.
Earlier, the New York Post had reported Michael Jackson's brother Randy confirming that Winfrey did an interview at the Jackson family home. Jackson had not mentioned specifically which family members were interviewed but had expressed his anger saying Michael wouldn’t have wanted the kids exposed on TV.
“I know how Oprah feels about my brother and family. I also know that he would not have wanted this… in fact, she is the last person on earth he would want around his children.”, the kids' uncle Randy wrote on his Twitter page.
According to Tribute Entertainment, he's upset with Oprah for airing an episode about pedophilia during Michael's 2005 child molestation trial. Michael was eventually cleared of all charges but Randy has neither forgiven nor forgotten.
Michael Jackson, who died unexpectedly from complications arising out of prescription drugs overdose in summer of 2009, went to great lengths to shield his kids from the media spotlight, including homeschooling them and covering their faces with veils and scarves in public.
