article imageDrunk man showers in wrong house

Katherine - A drunk man in Australia thought having a shower would help him sober up. His only problem was that he was in someone else’s house when he stripped off.
A 34-year-old woman woke up in her home to the sound of water running in her shower Wednesday night.
She was terrified and quickly called police, who found the man dressed and sitting on the verandah of the woman’s house when they arrived.
Police later found a red-faced neighbour who was so drunk that he went into the house because he thought it was his own.
"He was very apologetic," Superintendent Daniel Shean told the Northern Territory News.
"The woman was just happy for us to take him away. She thought he was a burglar."
The 42-year-old man had been on the way to his own house in Katherine but got confused and wandered into the wrong home.
He apologised to the woman and police many times, and was taken into protective custody to sleep off the effects of alcohol.
He was too embarrassed to talk to media about what he had done.
