Jennifer Lopez is set to become one of the panel of judges for 'American Idol' after the popular American actress reportedly signed a $12 million deal to join the series along with Randy Jackson and two other members of the panel of judges.
Lopez' ex-husband, Cuban Ojani Noa is likewise appearing on the program. He will try out for American Idol in front of his ex-wife, according to Noa's manager.
Lopez met Noa while he worked as a waiter at a Miami restaurant. They divorced in January 1998. Lopez later employed Noa as the manager of her Pasadena restaurant Madre's in April 2002 but was fired the same year.
Ojani's marriage to J.Lo lasted for less than a year.
He has since been banned from publishing a tell-all book he wrote about the 41-year-old star by one court, and last year a judge ruled he was also not allowed to commercially release footage from the couple’s honeymoon.
Other than Ojani Noa, J.Lo had a high profile relationship with other celebrities including Sean Combs, Cris Judd, Ben Affleck, and Marc Anthony.
The popular American actress is presently married to singer Marc Anthony with whom she has two twins.
Jennifer Lopez was born in Bronx, New York on July 24 1969. Her parents are from Puerto Rico.
She is the richest person of Latin American descent in Hollywood according to Forbes, and the most influential Hispanic entertainer in the U.S. according to People en Español's list of "100 Most Influential Hispanics".
