article imageOp-Ed: Understanding The Obama Agenda

By James Raider     Sep 16, 2010 in Politics
Forbes magazine has published an article by Dinesh D’Souza titled “How Obama Thinks,” providing insightful perspective on the Oval Office resident who is attempting to launch America in a direction which most of its taxpayers resent.
“How Obama Thinks,” makes for compelling reading as it crystallizes the underlying forces that have shaped Obama’s thinking and led him to dismantle however he can, the America the world has grown to envy. D’Souza’s cogent presentation rests on Obama’s inspiration – his father’s anticolonial ambitions.
Colonialism is not and never has been on the American agenda, however we find ourselves agreeing with D’Souza who writes: “Colonialism today is a dead issue. No one cares about it except the man in the White House. He is the last anticolonial. Emerging market economies such as China, India, Chile and Indonesia have solved the problem of backwardness; they are exploiting their labor advantage and growing much faster than the U.S. If America is going to remain on top, we have to compete in an increasingly tough environment.”
D’Souza is being attacked with accusations of “racist,” but no valid arguments or facts are presented that counter his effectively delineated position. Doing so, D’Souza also pushes Obama supporters more deeply into their indefensible positions, . . . at least not if they still believe in the freedom they inherited.
This article will ignite much furor over the coming days. The MSM will provide us with entertainment as it seeks to attack Forbes and D’Souza without much ammunition.
