York - York Regional Police have released CCTV footage showing suspects in a dognapping which took place in August. The dog is diabetic and should have medication daily.
The video shows five suspects near the vehicle the dog was taken from around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, August 13. The car was parked in front of a Dooley’s billards location when the dog, called Honey, was taken.
The Pomeranian/Yorkshire terrier mix weighs about one-kilogram and is light in colour, reported CTV News.
The suspects are described as being 18-25 years old with medium-coloured skin and dark hair. They were wearing wearing casual clothing, including jeans, T-shirts and running shoes.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, leave an anonymous tip on-line at www.1800222tips.com or text message “TIPYORK” + their information to CRIMES (274637) .
If someone provides information leading to Honey’s return they could receive a reward of up to $2,000.
