The Chicago Bulls are trying to work out a deal that would bring Denver Nuggets' forward Carmelo Anthony to the windy city.
The Chicago Bulls are trying to set up a trade that would bring the 26-year old Denver Nuggets' forward to Chicago. The name that has been tossed into the rumor mill has been Joakim Noah, but
sources close to the Bulls' discussion say the team is not interested in parting with him. That said though
ESPN is reporting that the team has not reached a consensus as to how to proceed either.
The Denver Nuggets are reportedly not interested in Luol Deng because of his contract. Deng is in his second year of a six year $71 million deal. Noah is in the fourth year of his rookie contract and is only due $3.1 million this season. At the end of the season Noah will also be a restricted free agent as well unless the Bulls extend his contract.
On Wednesday it was revealed that Anthony is hoping to convince Nuggets' general manager Masai Ujiri to trade him. Anthony has said that he would like to be traded to either the New York Knicks or the Bulls. The Nuggets have already offered him a contract that would run through 2014 and be worth $65 million.
At his summer camp Anthony professed that he was a Nugget, and that he wouldn't become a free agent until after the upcoming season, in an effort tot dismiss the speculations.
