Zhenyu Li's shots of karate women's Finals at Combat Games Special

BEIJING - Not long ago, the SportAccord Combat Games 2010 Beijing karate competition was concluded in the Olympic city. The karate tournament attracted some of the best karate fighters, both male and female, from around the globe.

Only competitors who rank in the top four in the World Championships were eligible for the Games. Karate is among the most eye-pleasing combat sports this journalist has witnessed during the eight-day Combat Games, which includes Wushu, boxing, taekwondo, judo, wrestling, kickboxing and Muay Thai etc. Yenhui Chen of Chinese Taipei, the best Asian karate fighter in women's 50kg division, was defeated by Gulderen Celik from Turkey in the final, clinching the silver of the Combat Games. The Chinese national team fielded four female fighters in the karate competition, with Hong Li and Lanlan Feng beating their opponents respectively for two bronze medals.
