Not long ago, the SportAccord Combat Games 2010 boxing competition was closed in Beijing. Fighters from the hosting nation won five out of ten gold medals, plus two silvers and two bronzes, becoming the biggest winner of the tournament.
Apart from Shiming Zou and Zhilei Zhang, the two 2008 Olympic finalists who clinched golds in their respective divisions, talent like Fanlong Meng and Jianting Zhang also triumphed in the premier boxing tournament.
In the 2008 Olympics, China topped world rankings in boxing with two golds, one silver and one bronze. The Asian Giant has now become one of the world leaders in amateur boxing.
