Shenzhen - Billboards erected in China show a Princess Diana lookalike wearing only lingerie and the words "Feel the Romance of British Royalty."
The campaign for the lingerie line being called "Diana" was launched by Jealousy International at Shenzhen airport in southern China.
The model on the billboards is wearing a bra, knickers, jewellery and a tiara. She is holding a bow and cello and looking toward a child with a book.
Sam Chambers, a British journalist who works in China, saw the billboards. The Daily Mail quoted him as saying: “I was just going to collect my baggage from the carousel when I saw it flash up on a rolling advertising screen and couldn't quite believe what I was seeing.
“I thought, surely not, because it was rolling quite quickly. So I waited to check when it came up again and, sure enough, there was an image of Diana. It's all the more striking because today is the anniversary of her death.”
Diana was killed in a road accident on August 31, 1997.
