Switzerland Just 'Doesn't Want To See It,' Prostitution

By Kassandra Garcia     Aug 31, 2010 in World
First in Germany, now in Switzerland, you can find sex "drive-thru's." These boxed in parking spaces will provide seclusion for quickies and keep it from being seen by the general public.
"We can't get rid of prostitution, so have to learn how to control it," Police spokesman Reto Casanova said in an interview with CNN's Time NewsFeed.
These parking spaces come after a noticeable increase in prostitution in Zurich. The residents of the city, especially those whose homes overlook the "red light" district have said enough is enough. Some have commented on how day or night, the public is subjected to the acts that take place in parked cars around the city.
Essen and Cologne, Germany had already come up with these "sex boxes" to help clean up their streets. Switzerland jumped on board and is looking forward to the added comfort of knowing that children can play outside and cover their eyes to walk past parked vehicles.
