Rogers - Generations of Chevrolet's sports car, the Corvette, could be seen at one of the largest car shows in Arkansas where colorful coupes and convertibles were sitting pretty and catching the eye of all who attended.
It was a spectacular sight. Rows of classic and more contemporary Chevrolet Corvettes lined the cordoned-off streets of Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall in Rogers, Arkansas. Owners of more than 80 stunning Corvettes participated in the Northwest Arkansas Corvette Club’s “14th Annual Summers End Car Show” held [PDF] Aug. 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Registration was from 8:00 a.m. to Noon with judging taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. When DigitalJournal.com arrived at the event at 10:00 a.m., a number of owners were still putting the finishing touches on their cars in order to get them ready for judging. For example, the owner of a black 2008 Corvette Z06 was working on the wheels of her Corvette.

Hoods were up and windows were down so that car show judges and attendees could get a good look at engines and interiors.
Under the hood of this 1968 Corvette convertible is a 327 cubic inch, 350 horsepower Turbo-fire engine. The owner indicated that he painted over the original red paint because it had too much of an orange shade and went with victory red instead.
