At least four people were reported dead and 10 others missing when a tropical storm hit the northern coast of Vietnam Tuesday.
The tropical storm also caused injury to at least 20 people as the weather disturbance is downgraded to low depression.
Yahoo news reports:
A disaster official in central Danang City said Wednesday that authorities are still searching for 10 crew of a fishing boat that went missing while seeking shelter.
The government says the storm damaged more than 4,000 houses and 62,000 acres (25,000 hectares) of rice fields.
In nearby Philippines, at least two weather disturbances have been reported by a local TV network in its periodic weather report.
In most cases, these weather disturbances and typhoons also go to the direction of Vietnam and China.
At 4:00 p.m. today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 520 km East of Baler, Quezon (16.0°N, 127.0°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting the country.
