Toronto - A woman was attacked from behind by a man in Toronto last week but her and other witnesses screams stopped her attacker.
Last Wednesday in the early evening hours a woman, 34, was walking in Horseley Hill Park in the Neilson Road and Finch Avenue East area of Toronto when she was approached from behind by a man.
Constable Wendy Drummond said, "The woman was taken to the ground and held down. She screamed for help while passerbys called out for the suspect to stop the attack."
The suspect took off and the woman was able to call the police.
The suspect is a black male, in his 20s, 5'10" and 170 pounds. He was wearing a blue and white striped shirt.
Police are requesting that any witnesses to this attack contact them at 416-808-7474.
