House stops car this morning in Ontario

Oshawa - A pick-up truck ran into an Oshawa house early this morning on Ritson Road South. Residents on the street were awaken just after midnight by screeching tires and a loud crash.

The grey truck stopped after crashing into the front concrete stairs of a home, causing damage to both the vehicle and the structure. The driver then took off on foot. When police arrived at the scene they began to search for the driver. Another police call may be connected to this case. At 1:30 a.m. a resident found a man sleeping between two homes on Oshawa Boulevard South. The police were called in to arrest the man. An investigation is ongoing to see if the drunk man is connected to the driver.
