West Chester - A Pennsylvania woman is now dating her favourite television star, 45 yers after she sent him a fan letter. When she was 10 years old, Donna McCall wrote a letter to Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster in ‘The Munsters.
WFMZ reported that, in her letter, she asked his height because a lot of girl girls were creating gum wrapper chains the same height as their boyfriends.
The child actor told her he was 5 feet, 4 inches.
When McCall, who is now 55, read something earlier this year that reminded her of the actor she found an e-mail address and wrote to him. Once again, he replied to her message; but this time they continued to correspond.
She sent him photos of herself doing things like scuba diving and taking trapeze lessons.
“That intrigued me a lot," WFMZ reported him as saying. "She's single. She's beautiful. She's in the nicest part of the country and she likes to do adventurous things. I figured I had to meet this woman.”
They met in May at a DraculaCon convention, and enjoyed one another’s company.
Since then, Patrick, who is 57, left homes in California and Florida to be with McCall.
Patrick will also be working as the spokesperson for a company called 13 Haunts, which has 13 haunted attractions in the area.
After the Halloween they plan to go to Los Angeles so that McCall can meet Patrick’s family.
