United Kingdom's popular singing sensation Susan Boyle may have a role to play in the upcoming Christmas-themed episode of the popular US TV series "Glee".
Boyle, who rose to fame on 'Britain's Got Talent Show' will join several celebrities who want a piece of the top-rated television series.
Another British singer Sir Paul McCartney of of the legendary musical group 'The Beatles' has made known his intention to have his own music included in anyway possible in the program.
Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy said McCartney sent him some mix tapes and suggested his music be used on the program. Glee plans to do something with McCartney at some point in the future.
"I was gob smacked. I grew up with that guy. So, of course, we are going to do something,'' Murphy told the Television Critics Association's summer meeting Monday.
The former Beatle won't be the only familiar name associated with ``Glee'' when it returns next season. Susan Boyle, the unlikely ``Britain's Got Talent'' discovery, is in talks to be part of the Christmas episode, Murphy said.
Charice, a popular young singer from the Philippines has likewise joined the cast of Glee. She will play a role of a foreign exchange student and she is expected to share the limelight with Glee's star Lea Michelle
After filming a portion of the story, Michelle commented on her experience at the set with Charice.
"She and I filmed a hilarious scene the other day," she said. "And she is the teeniest, most wee person I've ever seen in my life. And she's so darling, she's so sweet. Just hearing her hum and sing backstage, she has a gorgeous voice."
The latest celebrity who is joining the popular TV show is the very popular Carol Burnett who will play the role of a mother to the hard-charging cheer leading coach played by Jane Lynch.
The episode with the multiple Emmy winner, who was nominated again last year for a guest spot on "Law & Order: SVU," is expected to air in October or November.
