Can a cat have puppies? Yes, according to a Georgian woman, who says her cat was in labor for several days before giving birth to a pup that boasts its mom’s ears and tail.
In an eastern village in Georgia (the country), media are clamouring to film a cat breastfeeding her young puppy. While the puppy doesn't entirely resemble a cat, it bears a striking resemblance to a feline with similar tails and ears.
As Russian Today reports, scientists are unsure how this biological miracle occurred. "Scientists have not ruled out radiation as the reason,” the report states. The RT video segment states: "Scientists say any cross-species encounter was an unlikely cause."
Four years ago, blood tests refuted a Brazilian woman’s claim that her cat had delivered three puppies.
Two years later, Chinese villagers claimed one of their dogs gave birth to a cat. A veterinarian says the cat is likely a genetic mutation.
There has been no confirmation to the truth of the Georgia woman's claim.
