To some business establishment, the soaring summer temperature has resulted in increased profits for the businesses dealing in cold beverages, beer, ice cream and related products.
In the beer market, where a rise of 1C will boost shipments by 1 million bottles, major breweries are raising output to
meet soaring demand.
Asahi Breweries saw its combined sales of beer and happoshu, a beer substitute, jumped 40 percent from a year earlier in the first eight days of the month.
