Two women were in a fight on Facebook over a man who is in prison. One woman is now dead and one has been charged with second-degree murder.
Pontiac, Michigan-Torrie Emery, 23, and Danielle Booth, 20, had an ongoing feud on Facebook over a 23-year-old man who is in a Michigan prison.
Pontiac police said Booth filed a police report after Emery came to her house and threatened her.
It's rumored Booth and Emory were fighting over some guy who is in prison. Pontiac Police say they traded insults over Facebook, and, on Tuesday, Booth filed a police report because Emery had come to her house and threatened her.
MyFOXdetroit.com reports Pontiac Police Sgt. Kevin Braddock said, "She was threatening to do harm to her."
The two women saw each other at a McDonald's. Booth was a passenger in a car driven by 21-year-old Alesha Abernathy. It is alleged that Emery chased the two women. The women were heading to the Pontiac Police Department and had placed a 911 call. The 3-year-old daughter of Emery was in the car with her.
According to Argus-Press.com Police Det. Paul McDougal saw both vehicles rush by his unmarked police car at speeds close to 100 miles-per-hour. Booth was on the phone with a police dispatcher when Abernathy ran a red light and hit a dump truck. Even though the impact knocked the truck over the driver was not hurt.
But sadly for the two young women they didn't fare as well. Abernathy was killed and Booth is in a Pontiac hospital with life threatening head injuries
Emery and her daughter were not injured.
Emery has been charged with second-degree-murder and child abuse.
Headliner Watch reports Gross said, "How can you get that angry or that jealous, really, that you jeopardize the life of your 3-year-old? One person’s stupidity, and look at the repercussions. It’s just a ripple effect."
Judge Preston Thomas of 50th District Court in Pontiac ordered Emery held without bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for next Thursday.
Booth remains in critical condition.
The family of Emery apologized to Booth's family and said Emery did not mean to kill anyone.
