Ajax church party ends with murdered teen in parking lot

Ajax - A teen is the latest murder victim in the Greater Toronto Area after being shot after a church party early Friday morning in Ajax.

Durham Regional Police say that the 17-year-old was at a crowded party in the basement of St. Nedela Macedonia Orthodox Church when several males got into a verbal argument in the parking lot. The victim was shot in the parking lot behind the church. Several men were seen leaving the scene after getting into a vehicle. A friend of the victim tried to get the teen into a vehicle to go to hospital but it was too late. The police and an ambulance arrived at the scene at the same time, pronouncing the boy dead. The investigation is ongoing. There have been no arrests at this time.
